About
Kevin McGinnis is a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Religion at Claremont Graduate University, and will be an adjunct faculty member at Claremont School of Theology this year teaching Greek. He received his B.A. in Classical Studies and Religious Studies from UC San Diego, and his M.A. in Religion at Brown University. He also has an M.S. in Counseling with a focus on Student Development in Higher Education from California State University, Long Beach. His research interests include ancient Mediterranean culture and literature, theory of religion, social theory, identity, evolutionary psychology, and cultural studies. His dissertation explores the relationship between textual interpretation, social practices, and narrative group identity with a focus on the third century Christian philosopher Origen.
